Biography
Mr. Gold is from Central Pennsylvania. After garnering a Journalism degree from Penn State University and working in country radio for 4 years near his alma mater, he followed his dreams of songwriting and teaching to the Nashville area. Mr. Gold has earned his Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University. The 2021-2022 school year marks Mr. Gold's 8th year of teaching; he's spent his whole career teaching English Language Arts. For 3 years he taught at Harris Middle in Shelbyville, he spent 1 year at Oliver Middle in Nolensville, one year as a Rock Springs Knight, and this year he'll continue his time working at Rocky Fork Middle. He doesn't just teach writing, it's also one of his passions, in fact his EP "Where's My Breath," features 6 tracks that he wrote or cowrote. In his free time, he likes to watch WWE and old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles episodes. He's an avid fan of the Tennessee Titans, Philadelphia Eagles, and the Penn State Nittany Lions (WE ARE!!). To unwind, he likes to go to the gym to work out, write and perform music, and play tennis.
